I re-appropriated four imperfect volume pedals (that I have accumulated over the years) into an array of expression pedals. Foot Expressions consists of one potentiometer per pedal, all of which connect to an Arduino microprocessor located under a small project case in the middle of the board. A USB cable connects the Arduino to a computer running Pure Data patches. The parameters which the pedals control can be set to whatever the user desires. I have used FE to control variables associated with a real-time glitch effect I created. I do this while playing an electric guitar in conjunction with an I/O - Pure Data handles the ADC and DAC. With an infinite glitch of a guitar sample repeating I can play the FE with my feet as an instrument itself.
